Dr. Rao and her colleagues from the MD/DC chapter.

The total award money is $2500.00

The members of the MD/DC chapter and their collaborators, CHAI (Counselors Helping Asian Indians) have proposed a study with two specific aims:

(1) Identify the common types of symptom presentation of emotional distress among South Asians residing in the US.

(2) Explore the perspectives and beliefs among clinicians through focus group discussions on facilitators and barriers to treatment of South Asian patients.
